Sag resistance
Resistance
Brush application:
wet: approx. 130 microns dry: 80 microns
By spray:
wet: approx. 200 microns dry: 120 microns
Avoid excessive film thickness.
Please note:
Where filigrane constructions and profiles shall be coated (e.g. handrails, pylons,
frame constructions, etc.) difficulties may occur during roller application to achieve
this dry film thickness. If necessary consider additional coats.
Chemical resistance:
Excellent resistance to rural, town, industrial and marine atmosphere as well as
against temporary exposure to neutral salts.
Not resistant to continuous exposure of dilute acids and yes, fatty oils, fuels, mineral
oils etc. Temporary short-term exposure does not harm.
Not suitable for continuous exposure to liquids (including water).
Temperature:
+ 80C

Icosit 6630 high-solid is supplied ready for use. Stir well prior to application. Adding
thinner will result in reduced sag resistance and a reduced dry film-thickness.
By brush or roller.
Conventional high pressure spraying:
nozzle size 1,8 -2,5 mm, pressure 3-5 bar.
By airless spray:
minimum pressure 180 bar at spray gun. Nozzle size 0,38-0,66 mm, spray angle 4080.
Minimum 1 day.
Dust-free after approx. 4 - 5 hours.
May be manipulated after approx. 8-10 hours.
Depending on film-thickness, temperature and ventilation several days. Full
mechanical and chemical resistance is only achieved after final drying. Thinning
and cleaning of implements: Thinner B.
Icosit 6630 high-solid falls under the dangerous goods regulations (class 3.3
inflammable).
In a liquid state the product and the thinner contaminate water and
should not be poured into drains, water and ground.
Remnants of thinner and/or coating material must be removed according to
regulations.
