Concerning: the current situation of Germany's policy in allowing

refugees and asylum seekers for resettlement.

Bearing in mind

that Germany is the leading country in refugee and

Asylum seeking humanitarian intake,

Noting with deep concern

that Germany is currently facing political issues
and long term economic issues based on the 1.1
million migrants that entered Germany last year, with
most coming from Middle Eastern and North African
countries,
Reaffirming

that Germany is supporting relevant international

organisations, such as the UN Refugee Agency
(UNHCR) and the World Food Program (WFP),
contributing to the European response by providing
direct aid toward incoming migrants. Aid such as
foodstuff, shelter, healthcare and education,

Noting with satisfaction

that along with other immigration accepting
countries such as Canada, Sweden and the United
States, Germany is ranked in the top 15 most
prosperous countries,
Emphasizing that

immigration reform is not only good for undocumented

workers, it is also good for the rest of society (Robert
Reich, Economist and Secretary of Labor under
President Bill Clinton from 1993 to 1997).

Decides:
1 That as of January 2017
A Germany should be commended for its flexibility in humanitarian
intake
B More countries should collaborate with Germany, in particular
European countries, allowing an equal percentage of more boats
to settle in terms of overseas refugees and asylum seekers
2 That this should be debated in full in the General Assembly and their
decision should be binding
3 Welcomes the support and assistance of all member nations to help
resolve this long-standing unequal situation
