Chapter 1
Steps
1. In the EMS client, right-click an NE agent node in the NE Tree, and then select NE
Management > Start NE Management.
Note:
After NE management is successfully started,
2. In the NE Tree, right-click the NE agent node, and then select NE Management >
System Tool. The System Tools window is displayed.
By default, the Unified Data Tracing tab is displayed in the System Tools window,
see Figure 1-1.

Context
This procedure uses Cell Signaling as an example. You can perform other tasks in a
similar way.
Steps
1. In the left Task Overview navigation tree, select one of the following ways to create
a tracing task.
l Select LTE Trace > Signaling Trace and double-click Cell Signaling. The Cell
Signaling Trace Scope dialog box is displayed.
l Select LTE Trace > Signaling Trace, right-click Cell Signaling, and select New
Task. The Cell Signaling Trace Scope dialog box is displayed.
l Select LTE Trace > Signaling Trace > Cell Signaling. In the right Task
on the toolbar. The Cell Signaling Trace Scope
2. Set the Task name parameter, select NEs and Cells,see Figure 2-1.

5. Click Next. The Cell Signaling Trace Parameters dialog box is displayed.
6. Set the Start Time, End Time, Trace depth, and Parameter setting parameters as
needed.
7. Click Finish.

This procedure uses Cell Signaling as an example. You can perform other tasks in a
similar way.
Steps
1. On the Task Management tab, select one of the following ways to modify a tracing
task.

2. Modify the Task name and Task type parameters, and then reselect tracing cells as
needed.
3. Click Next. The Cell Signaling Observation Object dialog box is displayed.
4. Select the Observation Object check box.
5. Click Next. The Cell Signaling Trace Parameters dialog box is displayed.
6. Modify the Start Time, End Time, and Parameter setting parameters.
7. Click Finish.
