Fall Music Recital

Noh Theatre Beyond 2020

On Thursday October 27 from

16:00 - 17:30 in the theatre,
private music lesson students
from all grades will be
performing. Students interested
in participating can still register
with Mr. Villapando
(vvillapando@senri.ed.jp). The
community is invited to attend.

Kool Sounds @ Kita

A reminder that Monday October
24 starting at 16:00 the grade 5
students, high school choir and
high school string ensemble will
be performing at the Kita Senri
station. Everyone is invited to
attend and support the school
and music program.

EARCOS
Carolyne Marshall and Bill
Kralovec will be attending the
East Asian Council of Overseas
Schools October 27-29 in Kuala
Lumpur. It is the largest gathering
of international school
administrators in the region. The
theme is Create, Connect,
Commit. Bill will be presenting
on using podcasts to improve
your leadership. To listen to the

Osaka International School

A group OIS elementary and middle school students have been

preparing for the performance of the play, Beyond 2020, a Noh
theatre production. It will take place in the Grand Front Osaka
mall on Friday November 4 at 18:00. NHK World is doing a story
on the international students learning this ancient Japanese art
form. The final rehearsals are taking place on Monday October 24
and Thursday November 3. Good luck to the students!

Saber Sports This Saturday

We are hosting six basketball games in the gym. In the morning,
the middle school boys basketball teams will be playing Marist
Brothers International School (MBIS) and Kansai International
University Academy. Games begin at 9:00, 10:00, 11:15 and 12:15.
The high school boys varsity team will be playing MBIS at 13:45
and the junior varsity at 15:15.

Upcoming Events
Monday October 24 Fu-Xin High
School a public school from
Taipei, Taiwan will be visiting
campus in the afternoon. 32
students and four teachers will be
spending time with SIS students.
Friday/Saturday October 28-29 IB Diploma Programme chemistry
students will be conducting
extended laboratory research.

Middle school girls soccer and high school girls basketball will be
traveling to Suma to play MBIS. Soccer games begin at 9:30,
10:45, and 12:00. Basketball games being at 9:30 and 11:00.

Elementary Soccer Competes in Falcon Cup

Last Friday 34 students from grades 3-5 participated in a soccer
tournament on Rokko Island. Over 30 teams participated and
close to 200 students. The Saber teams won 14 of their 25 games!
