Project Description:
For this project, we will be working on 18 x 24 drawing paper to create
works that reflect aspects of the culture you chose to investigate. You will be
using value drawing techniques to produce a range of values throughout the
work. The drawing techniques include blending, hatching, cross-hatching,
and stippling. We will be exploring cultural diversity and commonalities
between them.
Project Requirements:
You will create an image which covers the entire paper which reflects aspects
of your chosen culture. You must combine at least two different value
drawing techniques. Techniques to choose from are blending, hatching,
cross-hatching, and stippling. A full range of values must be present. Your
work must reflect your chosen culture. You must be able to articulate how
your work relates to your chosen culture.
