I. Presentation Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve

Romania is situated in the South Eastern part of Central Europe, inside and outside the
Carpathians Arch, on the Danube (1075 km) lower course and on the Black Sea.

Amount spent for travel and why foreign visitors spend their holidays here
Over 2.2 million foreigners visited Romania last year, on business or holiday, their expenses
totaling 5.6 billion lei, reads a release of the National Statistics Institute. On average each foreign
tourist spent 2,525 lei.

lectures, fairs and exhibitions (55.9% of total non-resident tourists), their expenses representing
59.5% of the total.
