to do this when beginning with an unknown addend

(___+6=12), and how to solve word problems.
**Practice addition and subtraction facts at home in order to help
your child with something called Mad Minutes. Students will be timed
for 2 minutes to see how many addition or subtraction problems they
can solve. You will begin to see these in Thursday Papers, although
they are not for a grade. The Dollar Store, Target, Walmart, and
several other places have flashcards, as do websites.

Progress Skills Checklists

November 1st- Career Day 8-10am

November 4th- ITBS Ends

Red Ribbon Week:

Monday- students receive a red ribbon
Tuesday- Silly Sock Day
Wednesday- Spirit Wear Day
Thursday- Wear clothes inside out
Friday- wear all read

ITBS testing continues this

week, so please do not make
plans to visit your child at
school or volunteer. Thank you
for your understanding!

Please look over the PSC

to see which standards your child is learning. An S means he or she
is performing Satisfactorily. An N means he/she may Need
Improvement in an area, and an NE means this standard has Not
Been Evaluated yet at this point in the year.
This is just a progress monitoring tool divided up into each subject
area and each individual standard. If your child received an N in any
standard, this means he/she may need additional practice to perform
at a Satisfactory level. If he/she received an N, it does not
necessarily mean he/she received an N overall on the previous
report card. We will continue to practice many of these standards
throughout the year. This PSC will come home two additional times
this year to allow you to see your childs progress.
Please sign the envelope and keep the PSC for your
records.

Health: We will take a one week break from magnets to celebrate Red Ribbon Week.
We will learn about drug and alcohol awareness, who can give us medicine, and how to keep our
bodies healthy and strong.
