Cuando se haya confirmado la comprensin eficiente del tema, el docente

explica el uso de las contracciones s -- re---, que representan lo mismo
que was --- were.
Ejemplo: She was = Shes

He was = Hes
It was = Its
You were = youre
We were = were
They were = Theyre
Es importante aclarar que el significado de la contraccin lo da el contexto
y/o el complemento de la oracin.
Ejemplo:
Shes in the park. Podramos traducir como: Ella est en el parque Ella
estaba en el parque

Para saber si es presente o pasado, debemos tener en cuenta de qu

situacin especfica se est hablando y si es la respuesta a una

pregunta como: dnde estaba ella?, en este caso, podemos decir que
la contraccin Shes equivale a She was.

Si la oracin fuera:
Shes in the park yesterday ella estuvo en el parque ayer
La expresin Yesterday (ayer) nos indica que la oracin est en pasado.
Por el contrario:
Shes in the park now. Ella est en el parque ahora
La expresin now (ahora), nos indica que la oracin est en presente.
Las cartas son textos sencillos que sirven para intercambiar informacin; en
el siglo XXI las cartas fueron reemplazadas por los correos electrnicos, sin
embargo, para asuntos formales, las cartas siguen siendo utilizadas.
