Read the following quote by C.H. Spurgeon and pray for a

greater desire to feed on Christ:
A man is made by that which he feeds upon, and for the
best manhood you need the best food. As certain silkworms have their silk coloured by the leaves on which
they feed, so if we were to feed on Christ, and nothing
else but Christ, we should become pure, holy, lowly, meek,
gentle, humble; in a word, we should be perfect even as
He is.

Tuesday

Thursday

Bible Reading: John 8:31-47; 2 Pet. 3:1-9; Job 6; Ezekiel 17-19

Bible Reading: John 9:1-12; 1 John 1:1-4; Job 8; Ezekiel 22-23

2 Peter 3:9: The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some
count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that
any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.

The apostle John was an apostolic eyewitness to Jesus

ministry, which includes His death and resurrection, and in
1 John affirms the physical reality that Jesus came in the
flesh. 1 John 1:1-4 proclaims the reality of the gospel (vv.
1-2), which produces a fellowship in eternal life (v. 3) and
in turn, fellowship in eternal life produces joy (v. 4). Reread
todays Bible reading in 1 John, meditate over the passage,
and pray and thank the Lord for the joy that is produced as
a result of the gospel.

God is immensely patient, as He is not quick to bring the

present period of history to an end, because He does not
wish that any should perish. Pray and thank the Lord for His
patience. Pray and ask Him to provide opportunities for you to
proclaim the gospel so that they may not perish, but come to
repentance.
