Assignment #1
On July 14th, 2016, my family and I took an airplane to the beautiful
islands also known as Hawaii. We stayed in a very big hotel where
we could see the outstanding scenery of the beach from our room.
Every morning my sister's and I would wake up and walk across the
sand and watch the locals ride the humongous waves. I finally
learned how to surf and paddle board. On our last day in Honolulu, I
hiked up this beautiful waterfall that lead to a breath-taking view of
the island. Even though it was so hard saying "bye" to Honolulu, my
vacation wasn't over yet.
My family and I got on another plane and took a fourty-five minute
flight to another island in Hawaii called Maui. In Maui my family and
I got to encounter swimming with dolphins; it was really fun
because the dolphins were so cute, friendly and love-able. What my
family and I mostly did on the island was getting to relax and drive
around the whole island; we even took the Road to Hana. Sadly, all
good things must come to an end. We got on a plane and went back
to Vancouver. Overall Hawaii was remarkable, I enjoyed every bit of
it, but the most important part was getting to spending two
incredible weeks with my loving family.

Assignment #3

Digital cameras were around us for at least two decades. Many of

you might own a digital camera whether the brand is Nikon, Canon etc.
Before the digital camera, people had to take pictures with film that was
printed out in a shop. Using a camera with film is not easy to control
because you don't know if the shoots you took was good or a total mess.
In 1974 when a young engineer named Steve Sasson was given a task to
use a chip and a camera to make something out of the two things. The
chip that was given to Steve was a CCD (charged-coupled device). Steve
replaced the film with the CCD and by December they had a prototype.
They tested their camera on a lab technician that worked at Kodak, it
took twenty-three seconds to record the photo. When the image finally
popped up on the screen it wasn't the best quality. Steve suddenly
discovered that he accidentally crossed the two wires and when he
uncrossed them the image became more clear.
