PNU Alumni Among the 2016 Metrobank Outstanding Teachers

The Department of Education (DepEd) and the Metrobank Foundation Inc.


(MBFI) hailed ten of the most exemplary individuals in the 2016 Search for
Outstanding Teachers (SOT) during the National Teachers Month Media Launch on
September 8 at the DepEd Central Office in Pasig. PNU, being the National Center
for Teacher Education, takes pride as some of its alumni were recognized for their
contributions to the teaching profession.
The winner for the Secondary Competition Level is Mr. Nelson G. Agoyaoy of
the University of the East (Caloocan City) while the winners for the Elementary
Competition Level are Mr. Arnol M. Rosales of Francisco Melgar Memorial School
(Naujan, Oriental Mindoro) and Mrs. Josephine Chonie Obseares of Butuan City
SpEd Center (Butuan City, Agusan Del Norte). All the awardees are alumni of the
University in the undergraduate and graduate schools.
