Mission and Objective

Mission and objectives are clearly communicated to the staffs of BIMS and is reviewed
annually to ensure it remains relevant and can translate intentions into outcomes.

Governance, Organisation and Administration

Institution has in place a properly constituted, relevant and appropriate governing body
that is authorised to formulate, monitor and evaluate policies.

The governing structure has representation from staff and student populations.

Organisational chart that outlines functions and responsibilities is in existence.

Institution has a system of continuous quality assurance that supports the achievement
of the objectives.

A system is in place for recording and communicating key decisions to stakeholders.

Academic Management and Quality Assurance

Institution has an Academic Committee that has the authority to set, maintain and assure
academic standards. This comprises of the Executive Chairman, Principal and Head of
both Academic and Operations Departments, and Head of BBA Program.

Academic programmes are aligned to Mission.

Learning outcomes of programmes are stated in programme specifications.

Documented policies and procedures exist for developing, approving, implementing,


monitoring, reviewing and ensuring the quality of the academic programme.

Admission policies are clearly elaborated, documented and publicised, and the institution
adheres to the same.

Academic policies, procedures and requirements are elaborated, documented and


publicised.

Institution has in place a rigorous and appropriate assessment regime to test student
achievement.

Effective mechanisms are in place to monitor delivery of instruction, capturing and


analysing students feedback and students performance.

Institution has effective system to maintain student records in permanent form.

Agreements with overseas institutions are documented, and relevant information is


made available to students.

Human Resources Faculty and Support Staff

The University College has the appropriate qualified and experienced staff to deliver
programmes.

Institution has an adequate number of qualified administrative staff to support delivery of


programme.

Opportunities are provided for faculty members to ensure the development of their
knowledge through participation in training and research.

Institution has documented policies and procedures regarding recruitment, dismissal,


,retention and development of faculty and staff members.

Teaching/Learning Facilities and Resources

Institution has library of adequate size and resources that is relevant and appropriate for
programmes offered.

Access to relevant online teaching/ learning resources.

Library has an adequate number and type of equipment to serve users.

Ambiance of the library reflects regular maintenance and presents an atmosphere


favourable to learning.

Institution has an adequate number of classrooms of appropriate size, suitability and


condition which satisfy statutory health and safety regulation.

Institution should have an adequate number and type of audio-visual equipment and
necessary supplies for effective delivery of learning.

Institution should have an appropriate range and number of computing facilities.

Student Support Services

Institution has a variety of services available to students to facilitate their development.

Institution has a variety of effective student feedback mechanisms and responds to


concerns appropriately and on a timely basis.

Financial Resources

Institution has adequate financial resources to effectively achieve its goals in a


sustainable manner.

Academic planning and related decisions are supported with adequate resource
allocations.

The institution has effective and appropriate financial management policies and
procedures that reflect best practices.

Planning and Self- evaluation

Institution has a Strategic Plan that results from consultation with stakeholders and is
linked to available resources.

Institution conducts planned internal self-reviews of its performance to determine


effectiveness.

Institution subjects itself to external reviews at regular intervals and there is evidence
that the strategic plan is being implemented.
