Movement

The geographic theme, movement is when an idea, person,

product moves around. Movement can tell us how an idea moves
around. Ideas can move around by talking. This can be in form of
verbal, e-mail, etc (basically words). An example of this is religion.
Religion is a spread of idea. Ideas that move around can also be
music, education, political systems, and more. Another example of
ideas moving around is application and companies. Movement can
also tell us how people move around. People move around with
transportation like airplanes, buses, trains, and more. We also move
around by walking, running, skipping, etc. People also move around
by migration. Migration is when someone moves from one country
to another. Another way people move around is slave trade but this
is not commonly used anymore. Movement can tell us how products
move around. Products move around by import and export. Import is
bringing resources into the county and export is taking it out. We
usually import things that meat our needs. Imports can be globally
or locally (in the country but not in the same city). For example,
Indonesia imports foodstuffs, machinery, and coal/fuel. Products can
also move around by mailing/shipping. In conclusion, the geographic
theme movement is a very important part of our lives. It can help us
understand how people, ideas, and products move around.

Plants can be a global import. I took these pictures in Ikea. Ikea is an example
of ideas moving around because it originated from Sweden and expanded in
the world.
Batik is a local import (product) in Indonesia.

Apps are also a

example of ideas.
The laptop is also
imported.

Religion is an example of ideas moving around.

Models-describe
In class, we made took
screenshots of a video
showing the global spread of
religion through out time. I
chose to concentrate on
Christianity because it is my
religion. We also did a
classroom walk about and
took pictures witch is also a
model. We took pictures of
the examples of movement.

Understanding of the world

From the model, I discovered
that Christianity is the most
common religion through out
the world. I discovered that it
could change due to
environment. I also
discovered that our everyday
life objects can come from
some place other then Jakarta.
For example, the PCs can
come from the US, the chairs
material might have came
from Jogja.

People can move too. The person on the left (Nadia) migrated to
Indonesia.
