MOTORIZED SEED SEPERATOR

SYNOPSIS:
In this project we are designing a speed sorting machine. The operation of
speed separator is performed by using by an A.C. motor and cam mechanism and seed
separator tray arrangement. The every tray has several and different diameters of holes
depend upon the speed diameter.
In this project we have designed seed separator. It separates the seed in various trays
by using cam method. The operation of seed separator is performed by A.C. motor and cam
mechanism and seed separator tray arrangement. Seed can be placed at the top of the first tray
so that other can be collected in the different tray when the motor switched ON. Each trey has
different diameters of holes in it. The trays are coupled with the connecting rod which leads
to the cam. The cam is a device which gives the reciprocating motion to the connecting rod.
The cam is coupled with the pulley. The pulley is driven by the motor. The power from the
motor to the pulley is transmitted by means of a belt arrangement as show in the figure. And
the seed is separated by the separate arrangement. So when the shaft moves to and fro the tray
also moves in the same directions. Since they are several holes in the tray the seed are
separated and collected in the appropriate tray. The maximum size is collected in the first tray
and the last size will be collected in the last tray.
