HOSA is a club the all medical students are automatically placed into. You do
not have to be a part of HOSA if you do not wish to. HOSA stands for Health
Occupations Students of America. There is so much you can get out of HOSA
including (1) volunteer opportunities and hours, (2) competition at the
regional, state, and national level (3) a chance to have fun with fellow
medical academy students. We are considered a volunteer-oriented club
where we participate in community walks, food drives, seminars, and so
much more!
For being involved in HOSA, community service is one of the many benefits
you will receive for participating at our events.

Everybody will be receiving a HOSA volunteer t-shirt FREE. For those of you
who went to medical camp, you already told us your t-shirt sizes. If you are a
sophomore, junior, or senior we already have your t-shirt size from last year.
Essentially, the only shirt sizes we need are from freshman who didnt go to
camp. Fill out the form after the meeting.
REMIND: Remind is a free app in the app store on iOS devices (iPhone, iPod,
iPad). Download this app, make an account, and type in the class code
@wbhshosa. If you do not have an iOS device, text the number 81010 and
type @wbhshosa. Instead, you will receive text alerts.

Each medical classroom will be receiving a bin in the near future. In this bin,
you place as many pennies as you can (hence, war). The class that wins will
receive an ice cream party. All the money goes toward Cystic Fibrosis
research.
