Local
Boca Helping Hands (BHH) Boca Helping Hands is a local, nonprofit agency
Community that provides food and clothing to those in need. They have requested
Outreach
about 20 members from HOSA to volunteer for hours in the EAST BOCA
Program
location. Sign up sheet after the meeting!
National
Penny Wars Penny Wars officially kicks off TODAY!!!!!!! Bins will be in
Community your medical classrooms after this meeting!
Outreach
The foundation for this years Penny Wars is the National Alliance
Program
on Mental Illness.
RULES: Pennies count for one point. Every silver coin (nickels, dimes,
and quarters) are minus 1, 2, and 3 points respectively. Let the
competition being!
Lets contribute to a great cause Mental Illness research!
International Kids Kare for Cape Town Yes! We are proving that our local HOSA chapter
Community can make an INTERNATIONAL difference.
Outreach
One of our very own West Boca Medical alumni has created their
Program
own nonprofit organization for children in Cape Town, South Africa.
What exactly are we doing to help? Dental Drive!
Most kids in South Africa dont even know what a toothbrush is. We
are doing are part by donating toothpaste and toothbrushes! Hours
will be given.
Drive begins October 4th, and continues to October 30th.
4. Jamba Juice
HOSA will be conducting a Jamba Juice fundraiser to begin to raise money for our
Fundraiser
upcoming expenses with competition, and national affiliation.
At any point within the week of September 26th to September 30th, go to Jamba Juice
and purchase a smoothie. You will be given a ticket place it in the West Boca Jar.
