1 Background
The purpose of this pre-opening inspection report is to provide a means for checking and verifying all key Fire & Life Safety (FLS) installations against
FRHI Hotels & Resorts minimum requirements. This report should be used from the incipient stage of the project through to pre-opening and opening
(and beyond if issues are still outstanding). All items related to the FLS inspection process should be noted within this report so as to provide a full
history of recommendations given and actions taken.
While this report covers many areas, it is not comprehensive and does NOT replace the need for those involved with the project, to read, understand
and utilise the FRHI Hotels & Resorts Brand and Design Standards.
IMPORTANT
For all new build hotel and residence projects, compliance with all points listed must be attained prior to opening
For re-branding and conversion hotel projects, priority and completion targets will be noted by the inspection D&C Lead and the hotel
engineer.
These priority and completion targets will be broken down into two sections as follows:Priority 1

Works Essential Fire Life Safety and Brand Standards Compliance.

Priority 1 installations must be completed prior to opening (or re-branding) All items marked in bold are mandatory to be signed off

prior to soft opening of the hotel or residences

Priority 2

Works Ongoing Brand Standards Compliance.

Priority 2 works must be completed within the designated set timeframe (As indicated in months)
For example: 2 6 months means priority 2 and must be completed within 6 months)

In all cases, the final inspection prior to opening will be arranged only after the assigned D&C Lead person gives the approval to do so. This approval
will be based on the successful completion of the Approval for Final Inspection form found in Section 3 of this document.
