THE OTTAWA FOOD BANKS BABY BASICS PROGRAM - Join Mayor Jim Watson
on Saturday Oct. 29, 4-7 pm at City Hall (110 Laurier Ave. W) for the 10 th annual
gathering of Halloween Fun. This is a wonderful opportunity for local families to help
others by donating essential food and supplies to the Baby Basic Program and to
have some spooky fun at the same time! Admission for the party is a non-perishable

NOTICE OF ROAD CLOSURE TERON ROAD from MARCH ROAD to CARLING
AVENUE will be closed from Nov. 2nd to Nov. 16th (inclusive). The closure has been
requested by the contractor, Goldie Mohr Ltd., who is completing the work required
to replace the culvert. Notification signs will be posted, as well as detour signs.
Local emergency and vehicle access will be maintained. The impact to traffic will be
relatively low, however avoid this area if possible during the dates mentioned
above.
DEVELOPMENTS IN OUR AREA If you missed the Town Hall Meeting you can get
information about whats going on by visiting my website. The construction on
Campeau Drive is for a Hilton Hotel and rental apartments, the Carp River
restoration project continues, a new sidewalk has been built along Teron Road, and
starting next week a missing sidewalk link will be built on Flamborough. Many new
projects are in the work from retirement homes, to more apartment buildings, to
new subdivisions Ill report on these as more details are released.
KNL UNDERWAY SOON The Benefit Permit for creating a new habitat for
endangered species is soon to be released, triggering construction of a water main
from Keyrock to Terry Fox. All three phases of the KNL lands have now been
registered. Final approvals on servicing need to be received before construction
north of the Beaver Pond begins.
KLONDIKE ROAD OUTDOOR RINK The boards around the tennis courts on
Klondike have been removed because they were rotting, and are being replaced by
the City with new ones before rink season starts!
