1) The student began gluing wood circles into pairs and plans to glue them into a bowl over the upcoming days. They also began creating a draft walnut segmented ring.
2) On day two, the student gained skills in gluing wood rings into pairs but encountered a problem with clamping the rings as the bowl is constructed. They prepared scrap wood to help with the gluing process.
3) The student gained knowledge in creating a draft pine segmented ring to apply to the final walnut version, and knowledge through testing processes to cut pieces for the real ring.

2170 Today I began to glue the circles into pairs and eventually over the upcoming days glue them as a whole into a bowl. I also began to create a draft walnut segmented ring. Today I gained skills in gluing the rings into pairs. I have encountered a problem along the way that will affect the process in the future as I start to glue the rest of the rings to each other. Due to the fact that the clamps cannot extend out horizontally it will become harder to glue the bowl as I go along. I have acquired skills and knowledge to prepare for this step by using scraps that will be applied on the base and the top of the bowl to create a more functional gluing process and avoid errors. Also I gained knowledge and acquired skills in creating a draft pine segmented ring before creating the final walnut version. I have gained knowledge through this testing process to now cut the actual pieces for the real ring.

How might this
activity impact on the internship outcome
This activity has helped me through my internship to gain
positive outcomes by realizing potential factors that may affect the progress of the project construction and also to prepare in advance to avoid any mishaps that may occur along the way. I have gained this knowledge through observation and practice before applying no new skills to the actual project.
