Mary Zann
Personal Leadership Plan
Part 1 - Personal Analysis
Strengths

Communication with internal and external stakeholders.

(I frequently evaluate my communication practices and
make adjustments when necessary. Recently, I
implemented/created an ad staff report to share with
administrators at monthly administrative meetings.)
System level perspective. I am able to view topics from
a balcony view and can see how initiatives and
programs impact district as a whole.
Understanding of district needs and established
relationships with area school districts within the AMA
ESD.
Knowledge of Special Education Rules and Regulations
and ability to train staff on the implications.
Experience with curriculum development and
instructional strategies.
Staff management of various disciplines

Areas for Further Development

Budget/Finance. I have been successful managing

finances at the building and central office level. I would
continue to grow in knowledge of managing finances at
the District level as Superintendent.

continue to grow in knowledge of leading contract
