During the Alice Dreger, we learned about the obstacles the queer community has to go
through in life. Alice Dreger talks about the intersex procedure and how its dealt with within the
community. I learned about how consent isnt given when they go under the needle. There is all
types of intersexes. I was fully unaware of the different types. They go through their life feeling
confused and not fully knowing what could have been if the doctors would have waited until they
knew what they wanted. I learned more about the queer identity and how it shapes and forms
the thoughts of a queer individual.
