Application

2 Apply

Structure and planning

Choose a group of people in Australia who are currently the focus of prejudice.
Formulate a strategy for how prejudice against this group could be reduced. The strategy needs to
fulfil the following requirements:
Be based on psychological theory
Have a clear beginning, middle and end to what will happen including a well thought out time
frame for how long each stage of the project will take
Include who would be involved and what they would need to do

3 Evaluate

Metacognition

Once your strategy has been implemented, how could it be evaluated to find out whether prejudice
was reduced or not? Design a basic survey with approximately 10 questions that could be given to
participants to help analyse if their prejudice has been reduced. Think about Modern Prejudice as
well as Old Fashioned Prejudice.

4 Present
Present your idea to the class in either a poster or a PowerPoint presentation. You will have 3-5
minutes to sell your idea to the class.
