The it ofthe engine fonts (Pt Nos 72,76, 80 & 84) is very poor and [also found that once the naceles were offered upto the wings, they did not fill that wel either. The inboard nacelles at the wort and filler was equied om all the main joints inthis Kt. The ‘wings feature movable ailerons and the tlplanes have movable levator, so these compromise truly accurate representation in those areas. With the blk ofthe model assembled and all the ler sanded back removing ll he raised detail inthe proces!) the model can now be painted. Once again I just sprayed the ‘hole mode blac; then once this was dry, the turrets and «anopy were tacked in place and masked, before the upper «camouflage scheme of Dark Green and Dark Earth was, applied. Once this is dry you can choose from one ofthe four schemes offered inthe bot, nd then apply the appropriate decals. These ate up to Ait’ usu standard and are therefore quit thick with Prominent career film. A peat deal of crf masking wil be required forthe turret and canopy frames if you choose o spray them, alternatively you need steady hand if you intend to brush paint them on, Once the paint scheme and decal are all dry the model was toned oven with coat of semi-gloss varnish and the smaller and propellers were added parts pls the underere Conclusion Sil he best 2nd scale Lancaster you can get, although those raised panel lines and rivets look hortible. The modifications take the form of anew sprue (in whit plastic) that offers the Dambuster style revised bomb bay and Upkeep mine and supports Allthe comments I made about the assembly ofthe standard kit apply here als. The new bomb bay insert snot good it am ara, especialy a its forward edge, and if you are not carefal asp willbe apparent there. The Upkeep mine is depicted with wooden shutters ited round it and there always seems tobe vaious Interpretations ofthe steus that, support it this it being no ‘exception. Serials were applied in white under ‘ach wing and AI roundels were used onthe fuselage and upper wings. nce war was declared this machine had the underwing serials painted out and B Type roundels replaced the Type Als.
