Invariant reactions
When we are trying to change any one of variable in a point, then the phase does
not exist. Then the point is known as invariant point and corresponding reaction is
known as invariant reaction.

Problem for constructing phase diagrams


Construct the Sn-Pb phase diagram with the following information.
Melting point of Sn= 2320C
Melting point of Pb = 3270C
Eutectic Temperature = 1830C
Eutectic Composition = 61.9% Sn

Maximum solubility at Eutectic temperature


Pb in Sn = 18.3% Pb
Sn in Pb = 97.8% Pb
