Project Description
Information Technology benefits many organizations by allowing them to
work efficiently and maximize productivity. Computerized systems become
widely used because of its contribution to business and organization.
Organizations have implemented automated systems which replaced the
manual system in processing transactions.
This project intends to help Notre Dame of Marbel University enhance its
operation in the area of recording and monitoring of student attendance. The
researchers proposed a system entitled Online Student Attendance Monitoring
System for NDMU. The system will assist the college secretary and the faculty in
order to improve the accuracy, speed, and productivity of a college. The
beneficiaries of the system are the colleges, faculties, and parents or guardians
of students of NDMU.
The Online SAMS computerizes activities such as recording of students
late and attendance, identifying the alarming and dropped students, and
producing reports such as statistics of student attendance by college,
department, course and year level. The system includes a graphical user
interface where a user can interact with the system and database that serves as
data storage.
