The Reason why somebody does something or behave in a

particular way is a definition of motivation. Motivation work both ways beneficial
and harmful. AS Harmful tool by extremists to motivate violence.
Draconian deprivation of southern Punjabis from active political participation,
continuous exposure to poverty, lack of education and socioeconomic grievance
created the wave of desperation, hate and violence. The loquacious promises and
delays in development projects have hoodwinked the southern.
There are several reasons that motivate the young people to commit violence in
Punjab. Not all, but some, angry and deprived people to commit violence. Firstly,
grievous socioeconomic conditions and lack of proper education pushed them to
madrassas and extremist clergy motivate them to commit violence. Secondly,
political alienation and absence of law and order situation created circumstance to
commit crime. Third, atrocities in Kashmir and Palestine are the continuous source
of motivation to young by extremists. Furthermore, sectarian difference of
Deobandi, Shia, Wahhabi and Brelvi are paving the way of hate among youngsters.
On the other hand, hate speeches, and literature is the continuous source of
motivation. Lastly, reward in afterlife and economic support of the family by
participating in jihad are morally acceptable and continuous source of motivation.
Although, grievous socio-economic conditions, political alienation, atrocities on
Muslims, reward in afterlife and economic support of family are the source s of
motivation for youth however these violent extremist only comprises 1-2% of
population and the effective measures can put them in control.
