The Environment

Protection for the great lakes

Reduce pollution

Enforce rules on pollution (If pollution occurs, the

offender will be charged)

All citizens must recycle and use compost bins;
will be provided the first time but must be
bought by the citizen if damaged, stolen, etc.

Marriage and Divorce

Divorces are only granted if marriages are

broken down
Both spouses must be living in Canada for at
least 1 year to file for divorce; divorces become
final after 31 days
You cannot marry a Canadian Citizen in order to
gain entry to the country
If a child is involved in the divorce process, the
parents are allowed to go to court for custody;
the child will be put elsewhere is both are
deemed under qualified
The legal age for marriage is 18 years old;
certain exceptions are involved
There MUST be consent from both fiancs in
order for the marriage to be legal

Health Care

Support free or low cost healthcare for

citizens
Have high quality healthcare
Citizens must pay for their own medication;
but those with benefits will have 40 percent of
the cost covered Health cards are free for
Canadian citizens
50 percent of taxes will go towards
technology for health, medication production
and hospitals
Hospitalization will not be charged at hand
(that payment will be taken from the taxes)
More investments and attention will be given
to mental health

Taxation
In some areas, taxes will be increased to support programs. In other areas, taxes
will be reduced to stimulate the economy.
Tax rates are as follows:
ON: decrease to 10%
QC: decrease to 13%
NS: decrease to 14%
NL: decrease to 10%
BC: decrease to 9%
AB: increase to 8%

MB: decrease to 11%

NU: stay at 5%
NT: stay at 5%
PE: decrease to 14%
YT: increase to 6%
SK: decrease to 9%
NB: decrease to 14%

Where are we on the Political Spectrum?

Our HWP Party is on the left wing of the political spectrum. We believe in
communism. We believe in a society where all property is publicly owned and
each person works and is paid according to their abilities and needs. This
method will result in a much happier, safer, and peaceful future.

Leonardo McMuffin is an excellent candidate because he is very passionate and
determined on making the world a better place for everyone. He has work
experience with many humanitarian activities around the world, and is very
committed on achieving major goals.

Election Speech
Hello everyone! I hope all of you are having a good day. To begin with, my name is Leonardo McMuffin, and I am the current
leader of the HWP party. I am here in hopes of becoming your Prime Minister and improving our country in a way that will benefit
everyone. I plan on improving our environment, marriage and divorce policies, our taxation system and overall health care.
Our environment is valuable; which is why we must conserve and protect it. I plan on investing in a waste clean up that will take
place every few months; as well as introducing laws concerning the protection of our great lakes and ecosystems. More parks
will be created to maintain some level of nature.
Marriages and divorces are another matter to be discussed. I plan on changing the legal age for marriage to eighteen; when a
citizen is capable of making their own decisions. Divorces will have new policies for separation; especially if a child is involved.
Marriages will have modern and renewed terms and conditions.
It is important to note that I plan on improving the tax system to add balance to the economy or support programs for each
province and territory. In some provinces the taxation will rise, and in some, the taxation will decrease.
Our health is one of the most important things to talk care of; which is why we are going to be paying equal amount of attention
and investment to physical and mental health. The healthcare system will provide high quality health care along with low cost; so
everyone can afford the right to be healthy.
While I would love to be able to carry out my intentions; I can only do so if I am elected to be prime minister. It is my ambition to
create a safe and helpful community. If you vote for me, we can aim for a happier, peaceful, and thriving community; together.
