1 Corinthians 2:9- But, as it is written, What no eye has seen, nor ear

heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for
those who love him
I enjoy this verse because continually we look for the next best thing in our lives, an ideal to strive for
or even just to fathom the whole pretext of our existence, but this verse tells us to have patience and
faith because we do not know what we are working towards just that we must pursue it.
Hebrews 13:14- For here we have no lasting city, but we seek the city that

is to come.
Just to reiterate the previous verse, many people are full of pain and often become depressed when they
focus on what the present moment has delivered to them. They can not even fathom a future where the
pain could go away but this verse comforts me in knowing there is something greater and the pain you
are experiencing now is appropriate.
James 4:4
Characterizes how being removed from reality could be a good thing.
