Abstract Particleboards (PBs) are used in making furniture, cabinets, roofing, sound deadening and
industrial applications. This research work aims to predict the acoustical sound absorption characteristics of
particle boards which is produced from natural Agri-Waste bio degradable materials.

Generally the

petrochemical compounds are used in production of synthetic particle boards. With the purpose of reducing
health issues and environmental impacts upon using synthetic materials in particle boards it is essential to
use natural Agri-Waste materials. Sample particles were extracted from natural Agri-Waste such as Prosopis
juliflora, Pomegranate Peel and Milk Weed. Acoustical properties of these selected samples were measured
in terms of noise reduction coefficient (NRC), air flow resistance and porosity. The standardized samples
were tested using Impedance tube, air permeability tester and capillary flow porometer. The comparison
made with the existing theoretical model and these natural Agri-Waste materials.
