Section 1: FINDINGS
1) Roughly 14,249 murders were committed in the United States during

2014. Of these, about 9,675 or 68% were committed with firearms

2) More handguns in circulation equals more violent crime.
3) Owning a handgun increases a person's risk of being killed.
4) Keeping guns out of the hands of criminals prevents violent crime.
5) Taking guns away from criminals reduces violent crime
6) If there is no balance (gun law restrictions across all America) than
people in strict gun law states will go to lenient ones to buy firearms.
Section 2: PURPOSE

This Bill Provides That there be made more restrictions/barriers to purchasing a firearm.
Stricter background checks, psychological testing, and training. Only US citizens
should be permitted to purchase firearms, on top of that you may only purchase a
firearm from the state which you are a resident. That being said this bill needs to be
enforced throughout all states otherwise people from strict gun law states could go over
to lenient ones and purchase firearms easily. Also, the punishment for gun related
crimes must be raised across America.
Section 3: GENERAL PROVISIONS

The federal government will put more money to background checks so we can have
better background checks and the government will enforce them across all states of
america. Psychological tests will also be mandated for purchasing a firearm as well as a
sum amount of time of training with firearms under the supervision of an official/store
owner. Gun stores will be government regulated. Only US citizens will be granted the
right to even begin the firearm purchasing process. Purchases must also receive a
license which states you have received a background check, psychological test, training,

32 and will reveal a code indented in your firearm to further prove that it is your gun
33 otherwise people might steal others guns and say they have done the requirements.
