HIV Cure Symposium in 2016

Stakeholders Advisory Board created 5th annual on HIV Cure Symposium in Durban, South Africa
on 16 and 17 of July, after finishing 21st International AIDS Conference.
The symposium forwarded to rustling the new research in HIV Cure, together with values in the 2016
Global Scientific Strategy and invented a platform for publishing the report of the initiative working
groups and establishing a fertile setting for words with last community even though abstract driven
sessions, paper exhibition session and discussions.

The symposium also chaired by Prof. Francoise Barre-Sinoussi, Steven Deeks- University of
California Professor and Sharon Lewin- Doherty Institutes Infection and Immunity, University of
Melbourne Director.

Objectives of Symposium:
*A good platform for scientist who works on HIV Cure to share ideas and other issues.
*Improving knowledge on importance of further research in order to track HIV presentence
patients on ART.
*Research boost on viral reservoirs and latency as the way towards inventing a cure for HIV
infection;
*Advertising more number of investments in HIV/AIDS cure research.
*Good place provided for information-sharing between scientists, funders, media, clinicians and
members of civil society.

Accreditation
American Medical Association reviewed scientific program of 2016 Towards an HIV Cure
Symposium and Max 9.5 ANAPRA Category 1 Credits team. Physicians can only take credit
commensurate with the extent of their presence in the activity. One credit may be claimed for each
hour of participation in approved sessions.
