Copper, painted and enamelled
diam.: 45 cm
Circular shield of Indian origin, in copper, painted and enamelled. The decoration of this piece is arranged in
concentric bands, from the central finial.
The interior band displays a continuous pattern in a vegetal and floral theme.
A smooth freeze separates it from the exterior band, which displays several lions while hunting, holding prey with
their claws, surround by thick foliage.

The reverse displays part of the original lining.
