classroom during the first week of school. Once they all have an account
Instructional Objectives:

rate, volume, enunciation, natural gestures, and conventions of language to communicate ideas
effectively.
- Identify, create, and use files in various formats such as text, bitmapped/vector graphics, image,
video, and audio files.
Intended Audience: 6th grade English students on a middle school campus.

Outline of possible instructional activities:

-

Students will write a persuasive essay and record themselves (either in class or at home)
in a video format reading their persuasive essay so as to include emotional intonation and
physical gestures, which adds power to their argument. They will post their video to the
Google Classroom site and their classmates will offer constructive criticism comments to
aid each student in improving their persuasive writing and speaking abilities.

Perform online research for a research paper and post informational links for peers to use
regarding certain topics. Students can comment on why certain links would be credible
sources or not. Helps students learn to be discerning when reading online information.

Teacher can post daily comprehension/exit ticket/entrance questions that can be given
regarding what lesson is being taught that day or the next day.

Students create daily or weekly discussion posts for their class periods to participate in.

Different class periods can engage in challenges against each other such as participation
challenges for discussion posts or answering certain critical thinking questions or riddles.
