To Whom It May Concern:

My name is Amanda Gordy, and I am a school therapist that works with students in grades K-4 in
the elementary schools in the district. Melanie Haynes, a masters level intern, has been
observing me for about two months, and in that time, I have learned to admire and respect her.
Melanie is doing an amazing job as an intern, and is a wonderful person to supervise. Melanie
brings years of experience in the social services field, and it has been a pleasure working with
her. She observes counseling sessions I conduct with students, and I encourage her observations
and feedback on how the sessions went. Melanie has plenty of innovative ideas to use when
interacting with elementary students. Melanie is now co-facilitating sessions with two clients this
semester under my supervision. I feel as though Melanie and I work well together as a team, and
bring plenty of talent to each individual session.
Melanie Haynes would be a perfect candidate for any position, as she is passionate about helping
others and is highly qualified in the social services field. Melanie is professional, inspiring and
talented, all qualities that would make an amazing director.
