Lab 1 First Time Accessing the Router

Router Preparation

Power off /disable your

wireless radio
Power up your router
Connect your router

Connect your laptop to

through Ethernet port 3 (ether3)

1. Resetting your router to default configuration

Connect router using MAC address

Open WinBox.exe. Click []
Select MAC Address
Make sure Connect To
is filled by MAC

Click Connect
It will remotely connect to your router

Click [System Reset Configuration]

Click Reset Configuration
Click Yes

2. Removing routers default configuration
Connect router using MAC address
Open WinBox.exe. Click []
Select MAC Address
Make sure Connect To
column is filled by MAC
Address (i.e 4C:5E:0C)
Filled inside the column
Username : admin
Password : <leave it blank>

Click Connect
It will remotely connect to
your router
Click Remove Configuration
The pop up will only appear
when you connect the router
for the first time
If the router suddenly
disconnected, please open
again winbox.exe
