EXIMIUS 2015 REPORT

Van Heusens Eximius 15 was inaugurated by a beautiful display of lights in the
night sky through sky lanterns.With its theme Lets get started,Eximius15 is
heavily oriented towards encouraging budding entrepreneurs to chase their dreams
of making it big.
The leap consultation workshop revolved around the idea of How to start and grow a
venture in India and gave us chance to interact with leaders in the start up space. The
speakers touched upon how their stint in consulting helped them expand their firms
network.

The speakers were M R . A B H I N A V S I N H A , COO OYO Rooms,an alumnus

of IIT Kharagpur and Harvard university and M R . S H R E E R A N G
G O D B O L E , Head Western Region- OYO Rooms,an alumnus of IIT
Kharagpur.
They emphasized that entrepreneurship is not just about the web based start-ups but
about setting goals and achieving them despite odds.Talking about the innovation they
said,Innovation is born out of creativity ,and creativity is the lifeblood of an artist.
2 main things were discussed:1).starting and 2).scaling
Starting:
1.There is no risk
2.decide what you want to do or someone else will do that for you.
3.Work on solving a problem
4.Make sure that you are excited about it.
5.Join people who you respect not best buddies.
Scaling:
1.Think big
2.Think and plan 6 months out
3.Get people whom you trust
4.Founders should have complimentary skills
5.Efficiency is proportional to scaling
6.Move fast and break things
7.Done is better than being perfect.
