RE: PARTNERSHIP IN INTRA-ACP PROPOSAL FOR MOBILITY IN ENGINEERING
TRAINING
My office has been briefed about your request for partnership for proposal application as per
subject to the letter which was addressed to one of our faculty member in school of material
science and Engineering (Dr. Lodrick Wangatia). First I would like to comment you for the good
idea which resonates very well with our university goals and objectives. It is through such
programs that we can have more meaningful collaboration which can improve our education
standards in Africa. We therefore categorically state that we are interested in the partnership.
As a brief, Jimma university is a public university under the ministry of Education of Ethiopia.
Our institute of Technology is accredited to offer various engineering programs among them the
school of material science and engineering which is currently offering 4 Phd programs namely:
Polymer Engineering, Metallurgy engineering, Ceramics Engineering and Material science and
Engineering (general). We are planning to start Masters Program soon. All this programs are
approved by relevant authorization offices both at university level and ministry level.
We hope that this letter will serve as official acceptation from our side to participate in the
partnership. We are currently working on the initial requested documents and will send them
asap.
