PSl - Quadrilateral, Venn Diagrams

//

\/6

The importance of this section was to identiff and clarifr the similarities between

square, triangle and rhombi. We were then able to read and interpret Venn diagrams

containing all tlree. We found out that all squares are rectangles and

rho@hutnot all

,/

rectangle and rhombi are squares. We have learned that this is

soyydrr"

a square has

four congruent angles and four congruent sides, where a rectangle and rhombi only
posses one of the above principals.

PS2 - Parallel lines, Pairs of Angles

The importance of this secti2ocwas how we learned dif[erent types of angles and

how are they related to each

/
V

We also leamed that when a line is cut by a second

line, it is called a tansversal. When two parallel lines are then cut by

atran

tdsal we can

either alternate, consecutive (interior and exterior) and corresponding.

PS3 - Venn Diagrams of Triangles, Altitudes

The

importqy#this

section was finding similarities between triangles. We

were able to conclude that all triangles have two acute angles and the third is what

determines weather it's obtuse, acute or right. We r2dre also able to determine that all

equilateral triangles are isosceles. We then fqcu/on how to find the altitude of a triangle
and that is threw its vertex. Each end of the
base.
