Colloid -the solute is larger than the solvent .

Solute
does not dissolve in the solvent .The solutes particles
spread through out the water but do not separate out.
Proteins form colloids.

Emulsion- One liquid in another liquid which


does not dissolve. Eg oil.
Organic substances such as fat are insoluble
in water so they form an emulsion. So lipids
are transported as emulsions (fat
droplets )

Suspension- a solid particle in a liquid separates


out eg
RBC cells and platelets.

Solution one liquid dissolves in another to form a


solution.
