MY TAKE ON THE AUDIO.

The way that the conversation plays out, it comes across as someone replying to a
question who is not in a good way, they're post bad event and it shows because they
are being asked about their current state.
But at the same time the reply the person gives has a sense of refusal to it, like
someone who refuses to fully acknowledge the situation that they are in and has a
rebellious attitude. So to the answer they give is sarcastic and a full of attitude, like
they actually doesn't acknowledge what has happened and instead acts like its not a
big deal and only temporary, but at the same time you can tell from the answer that
they are angry about what's happened to them.

INITIAL IDEA'S
At first I had no idea what I could do with this audio, the
situation seemed so specific that the only situation I could
think of was the literal scene from the film, where someone
has lost their fortune due to gambling or theft and if
informing another person of it.

But after voicing my queries with Alan he explained it in a

way that I could run with, and eventually a scenario started
to form while we were talking and I went from there.
I decided to focus on someone from high power command
who had just lost their position and was talking to the person
who caused it.
The notes for this conversation can be found to the right.

CHOSEN IDEA
The idea I finally settled upon is the scenario of an Old King who has been usurped
by a young, cruel conqueror who has defeated him in battle in his throne room.
As the King tries to hold his composure the only other person in the room besides the
two fighters, the Kings Bard, starts to negotiate with the Usurper pledging his
allegiance to him, showing he had no loyalty to the Old King

The Usurper comes over to the Old King as he catches himself from falling, the
Usurper patronises him by looking at the destroyed and looted Throne Room and
Castle, asking him Facetiously "Have you been robbed?"
Which the king, pulling himself up with the last of his strength, refusing to lose this
battle, laughs to himself before replying "Funny really, yes, but at the same time a
huge resounding no. It's more of an... involuntary vow of poverty... really. "

REFLECTIVE STATEMENT
I feel like I have made good progress so far, and am close to having the near final
designs for my protagonist and antagonist, now that just leaves the sidekick(The Bard)
to develop more.
I also need to decide on a final look for the Kings outfit and then do colour tests for
each character.

Something I think would help would be an expression sheet, so once I have the
approval of my characters looks I shall produce a sheet of expressions for each
character so that you can understand their personality better and their range.
