I trained new recruits for Red Van division. Responsible for receiving and evaluating emergency
and non-emergency calls, determining the severity of each call, dispatching the appropriate crew(s)
(BLS-Basic Life Support/ ALS-Advanced Life support/ RN-Registered Nurse), and tracking
ambulance crew(s) throughout the city from the beginning until the end of an event. Dispatching
was performed using multiple systems which included CAD (Computer Aided Dispatching), multi-
phone lines, page and toner systems, two way radios and baker paging systems.
Multi-task, organizational, customer service, proficiency experience developed during the
three years in the emergency call-taking and dispatching field. I also acquired extensive
training skills which included the professional training and documentation of new hires on
all rules, regulations and procedures of the company in Red Van and Dispatch divisions of
the company.
