    This STEAM project gave us an understanding on how to find the price of


    products. What we had to do was choose ten items above the price of twenty
    dollars. Then we had to find a discount for it. Also, we had to find the tax of it and
    find the total cost of all the items.
    In one of my ten items, I had the Solidoodle/3D Printer. This item costs
    $1000.00. I found a coupon that took 20% off, so I found the fraction of 20%. It is
    20/100. I noticed that it is equivalent to 200/1000. Finally I subtracted 200 from
    1000 to get 800. $800.00 is my final cost.
    This lesson can really help me in real life situations. Lets say its Black friday
    and youre rushing to get to all of the stores that you need to get to, and you have a

    coupon that says 20% off. What if you didnt know how to find the exact price? You
    would be stuck there hopelessly trying to figure it out. Instead, I learned how to find
    the exact price before that day and you swiftly get through all the stores with ease.
    Thats why this project is important.
