About
Selah Works! is an initiative of Selah Downtown Association to engage young professionals
and members of the Millennial generation, who live or work in Selah, Washington, in order
to cultivate a sense of community among the next generation of local leaders.
Mission
The mission of Selah Works! is to engage the next generation of civic leaders by providing
opportunities for personal and professional development, peer networking, and community
service.
Selah Works! further supports the mission of Selah Downtown Association to develop and
promote downtown Selah as the community's social, cultural and economic center by
leveraging the ideas, talents and energy of the city's Millennial generation to improve the
downtown.
Goals
The goal of Selah Works! is to increase civic engagement and community involvement
among the next generation, especially individuals between ages 2140, who currently live
and/or work in the Selah area.
Leadership
Selah Works! is led by a Steering Committee of members dedicated to advancing the
mission and goals of the initiative. The Steering Committee meets on a monthly basis to
plan upcoming events and activities.
Agenda
Networking, professional development and/or service activities will be scheduled on a
quarterly basis, with at least four activities per year. Additional opportunities may be planned
if the larger group membership expresses interest in more frequent activities.
Membership
There are no costs or fees to become a Selah Works! member. All events and activities are
open to the public.
