We recently had a situation where a Brother MFC-7460DN would still display the m

essage that the toner was low and not allow printing, even though we replaced th
e cartridge with a brand new Brother toner cartridge. The steps below resolved t
he problem.
These steps are supposed to also work with the MFC-7840W, MFC-7360N, and MFC8480
, but I can not verify this.
1. Open the front panel.
2. Press the Clear/Back button. The display will show: REPLACE DRUM? 1. Yes 2. N
o
3. Ignore the display, and type *00 on the keypad. You should see "accepted" on
the display.
4. Close the front panel, and you should be good to go.
