1) The document outlines a 6-step procedure for establishing daily routines in the classroom to prepare for studying and learning activities.
2) The procedure involves explaining the rationale, modeling the steps, having students practice, providing feedback, and reminding students to follow the procedure every day.
3) The specific procedure described is for "bell procedures" where students go to the bathroom, collect materials, and sit in assigned seats when the bell rings to start class.

ACT Institute November 2016
Good day Students, this will be our protocol for coming
into our classroom and preparing for our daily work activities. I call it our bell procedures. This keeps the details of our work day very organized and allows us more time to focus on learning activities. I will meet you at the door, greet you, and then ask, whoever has to go to the bathroom, then GO NOW. After bathroom time (3 minutes), return to our classroom, collect your I-notebooks from the shelves, and then sit in your assigned (numbered) seats. At bell time: I greet students, state: whoever has to go to the bathroom, then GO NOW. Students always have to go, then no one asks to go during class time. Students return from bathroom time, collect their numbered (assigned) I-notebook, and sit in their assigned seats. I respond to my students in affirmative, self-esteem developing cues, thus I am likely to respond: I am very pleased with the way we are executing our bell procedures, or, we are being very diligent in executing our bell procedures. I will practice and reinforce this procedure EVERY DAY!
