2. Candidates Sign In:

Candidates need to click on Apply For EBC Fee Reimbursementto log in & start filling the
application form.

Read the instructions carefully
Login using the CAP application ID & password

The Application ID Assigned by the Competent Authority ( Directorate of Technical Education ,

Mumbai or the Commissioner, State Common Entrance Test Cell, Mumbai) is most important.
The candidates admitted by Competent Authority through CAP in Un-Aided Institutes as well as
Candidates admitted in Government , Aided, Univ Depts, ICT, Mumbai are eligible for the Fee
Reimbursement.
The Password can be retrieved by various ways.
DTE has sent the Email and SMS alert to the candidates to apply online. The Candidates are
advised to study the Government Resolutions and check their eligibility.

3. Password Reset:
In case your CAP application password is not valid or you are not able to login, you may use one
of the following options to reset the password: (click on Forgot your Password)

a) Using a verification code sent via text message (SMS) to your Registered Mobile No.
Enter you application ID & date of birth to reset your password

b) Using a reset link sent via Email to your Registered Email address.
Enter you application ID & date of birth to reset your password

c) By visiting the Institute in which you are admitted.

The institute will help reset your password from the institute login.
Email has been sent to the candidates giving their details.
Candidates are advised to first try the above two options to reset the password.
d)

By visiting the Regional Offices of DTE.

The R.O. will help reset your password from the R.O. login.
Candidates are advised to first try the above three options to reset the password.

4. Candidate Application:
After login in the candidate homepage will display the status of his/her application. Also the
instructions related to application are mentioned.
Then proceed to fill the application.

a) Candidate details:
Here the personal details and admission details of the candidate will appear as default
information as per the CAP details.

The Backward Class Category Candidates are advised to Apply for Fee Reimbursement /
Scholarship Scheme of Social Justice / Tribal Development Department.
Candidates availing other schemes are not eligible for this scheme.

The Enrolment Number assigned by the University / MSBTE.

If the candidate is completely failed ( YEAR DROP) for two or more than two years , he/she is not eligible
for scholarship.

b) Qualification details:
Here the candidate needs to enter the qualification details from SSC till the latest
qualification hold. Once a single entry is done, click on ADD to insert the next
qualification.

c) Aadhaar Details:
The candidate will have to enter his/her current Aadhaar details or the status where the
Aadhaar application stands. The candidate must choose from the 3 mentioned options
to proceed to the next page. If the DTE has already Authenticated the Aadhaar Number
filled by the candidate during CAP Registration, the candidate need not fill the details.

If Aadhaar Number is available then the related details need to be entered for
verification. The Fee Reimbursement shall be done on Authentication only. Candidates
are advised to obtain the Aadhaar Card at earliest, if not.

d) Upload photograph:
Candidate can browse and upload a recent photograph here. Candidates who have
already applied for EBC might have their photograph uploaded already.

e) Print application form:

Once all the details are filled in, the form will be available for print.

Please take three Copies.

Please take Signature, attach required document and Undertaking.
Two copies, along with Documents, are to be submitted to the institution and third one shall be
returned as acknowledgement.

The list of documents to be submitted to the institute for verification and approval process will
be as mentioned in the print copy.
The candidate and his/her parents or guardian need to sign on the print copy before submitting
the application to the institute.

5. Key Eligibility criteria:

The Candidates completely failed ( Year drop) for two years to more than two years are not
eligible for Fee Reimbursement.
