Position: Member Support Specialist Austin, TX

Classification: Full-time, exempt

Reports to: Communications Program Director


Overview: TAASA is looking for a dynamic and dependable connector who understands
the value of building relationships with our individual and organizational
members. The ideal candidate is a team player with a bright, warm personality, a
positive attitude, and can find and navigate the balance between being a good
listener and a problem solver. We are looking for a self-starter with great people
skills and tremendous follow through to provide a high level of service and
support to our existing members and to grow our member base.
Purpose: To provide support and technical assistance to member sexual assault
programs on behalf of a statewide sexual assault victim advocacy organization.
To build long-term relationships with our members as a trusted resource to help
solve problems.
Responsibilities:
(a) Provide information, referrals, and technical assistance to member sexual assault
programs.
(b) Provide Osnium technical assistance and support to local rape crisis centers.
(c) Serve as liaison between TAASA and its membership.
(d) Manage and maintain TAASA membership database, membership documentation,
and certification.
(e) Update and maintain TAASAs Service Directory.
(f) Write, prepare, and distribute educational materials on sexual violence matters that
would be useful to member programs.
(g) Maintain communication with TAASA member sexual assault programs concerning
survivors and advocates experiences and needs.
(h) Seek out and participate in opportunities to grow TAASAs individual and
organizational membership.
(i) Assist Communications Program Director in strategizing membership sustainability
and growth.
(j) Assist Communications Program Director with marketing and media outreach for
the agency.

(k) Other duties to support TAASAs mission.

Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of member support or member recruitment experience preferred.
Experience working in a rape crisis center preferred.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Proficiency in Osnium client and case management system.
Ability to provide a high touch support to our member organizations in person, on the
phone, and through electronic communication.
Outstanding communication (oral and written) and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Ability to listen to and interpret the needs of our members and to communicate those
needs internally and externally.
Ability to network and work collaboratively with TAASA staff, rape crisis center staff,
professionals, and other organizations.
Team player that can work autonomously.
Demonstrated commitment to sexual assault survivors autonomy and empowerment.
Ability to travel throughout Texas with occasional overnight stays.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Proficiency in desktop publishing and social media.
