Educator Standards

Standard 1: Instructional Planning and Delivery


Teachers provide instruction that is based on standards, supported by
data, and unique. It should engage students, incorporate technology
appropriately, and be relevant to how learners are today.
Standard 2: Knowledge of Students and Student Learning

Teachers work to achieve


high level learning, development
socially and emotionally, and overall
achievement of all students. They
will also pay close attention to each
students backgrounds
educationally and developmentally
and focus on their needs.
Standard 3: Content Knowledge and
Expertise

Teachers demonstrate an
overall understanding of their
subject, disciplinary action, and
corresponding pedagogy as
exhibited in the design and execution of lessons, matching objectives, and
having activities to match their specific state standards.
Standard 4: Learning Environment
Teachers communicate with students respectfully in all ways at all times.
They uphold a safe and supportive learning environment, both physically and
emotionally, that is made up of efficient and effective routines, precise and
specific expectations of student behavior, and organization that maximizes
student learning.
Standard 5: Data Driven Practice
Teachers use methods that are both formal and informal to assess the
growth of students in connection to instructional goals and overall objectives.
They will also routinely review and analyze many sources of data to observe
student progress and modify instructional strategies and subject delivery as
needed.
Standard 6: Professional Practices and Responsibilities
Teachers will continuously hold themselves to a high standard for personal
development, engage in opportunities for leadership, work with other professional
educators, interact regularly with stakeholders, uphold professional relationships,

comply with all policies both of the campus and school district, and carry
themselves with integrity and ethically.
