Newscast Directions

Now that we have learned all about the geography of the Southwest, its your chance
to show the world what you know! You are to write out a script for a newscast including the
following:

The climate of the Southwest.

One big land formation and how it was created.

Two important historical events. (Think back to your timeline!)

One modern day resource in the Southwest and how it is used.

You are encouraged to be creative! On the first day you are going to write the script for your
newscast. The second day we will film with the iPads. You will need a partner to help you
film, BUT you both must have your own individual newscasts. If you would like, you can dress
up like a newscaster the day that you film! The more creative you are with your script and
costumes the better your newscast will be. Have fun!
