want to know about the topic? What are some questions to get students thinking about the topic or generate
interest about the topic? What questions can you ask students to help them focus on important aspects of the

what they produce or do? How will you differentiate products?)
1. Students will research cyberbullying find resources and also use resources that are provided by the teacher.
2. Students will work in groups of two to complete a PowerPoint that includes their research, steps preventing,
cyberbullying laws and consequences, the harm it causes, also each group will be given a situation, they will
explain what they should do to prevent or stop the cyberbully.
3. The students will write a two paragraphs on what they have learned in this lesson.
*Printed instruction and rubric will be provided at the beginning of the lesson.

Resources (How does technology support student learning? What digital tools, and resourcesonline student
tools, research sites, student handouts, tools, tutorials, templates, assessment rubrics, etchelp elucidate or
explain the content or allow students to interact with the content? What previous technology skills should students
have to complete this project?)
1. Students will utilize Google Chrome to help find research.
2. Students will use some resources connected to digitalliteracy.gov site, as well as other resources they
may find.
3. Students will utilize PowerPoint for the presentation and Microsoft Word for the two paragraphs.

Instructional Plan
Preparation (What student needs, interests, and prior learning provide a foundation for this lesson? How
can you find out if students have this foundation? What difficulties might students have?)
1.Students should have some knowledge of how to use Internet, Word and PowerPoint, I will go through and
refresh on PowerPoint and Word for their assignment.
2. I will give students an overview, showing videos, provide resources over cyberbullying before beginning
their research and presentation.
3.To give students extra time to work on their presentation, I will stay after school from 3:30-4:30 and help for
students.
4.. Students will need a flash drive and bring it to school to be able to save their work, so they can be able to
work on it outside of school.
Management (How and where will your students work? Classroom, lab, groups, etc?
1. For this project students will be working in the computer lab. When the lab is unavailable, students will be
responsible for bringing notes and research so they can continue working on their assignment.
2. Students will be assigned into groups of two for the PowerPoint presentations.
3. I will provide some resources for students to use and show them how to use them. I will also collaborate
with the groups to make sure they are staying on task and that they will be done by the due date.

Instruction and Activities (What instructional strategies will you use with this lesson? How will your
learning environment support these activities? What is your role? What are the students' roles in the
lesson? How can the technology support your teaching? What engaged and worthwhile learning activities
and tasks will your students complete? How will they build knowledge and skills? Will students be
expected to collaborate with each other and others? How will you facilitate the collaboration?)

topic cyberbullying.
3. By having students work in groups, it is promoting collaborative learning. This helps the students learn to work
with others in projects and how to rely on the other partner.
4. The completion of the two paragraph paper will allow me to assess what each individual student has learned
over the lesson in cyberbullying.

Differentiation (How will you differentiate content and process to accommodate various learning styles
and abilities? How will you help students learn independently and with others? How will you provide
extensions and opportunities for enrichment? What assistive technologies will you need to provide?)

1. Students will be put in assigned groups of two to complete a research presentation over cyberbullying.
2. Students will take notes over the teacher presentations and lecture, as well as take their own notes over the research
they do to complete their independent writing assignment and their group PowerPoint presentation.
3. The teacher will provide numerous instructions for the PowerPoint and two paragraph paper. The rubric for these
assignments will also be provided when lesson begins.

answering the following questions?
Did students find the lesson meaningful and worth completing?
In what ways was this lesson effective?
What went well and why?
What did not go well and why?
How would you teach this lesson differently?)
1. At the end of this lesson the assignment will be the group presentations of the research conducted on
cyberbullying. The following class period, after all the presentations have been completed, students will be
responsible for turning in their individual reflection, two paragraphs in length. The reflection will be over what
they learned about cyberbullying, and what they have learned about how to prevent cyberbullying.
2. To monitor progress on their presentation, I am going to meet with each group toward the end of each class
period, to make sure they will be done by due date.
3. If I were to teach this lesson differently, I would just give a quick overview and directions for what the
assignment will be. Then I will wait until the end to give my presentation and lecture to see if what I have is the
same as what the students had researched.
